Dental Implants: Serving Aston, Chester, Philadelphia & Surrounding Areas
Are you not enjoying the food you used to enjoy because you are missing teeth and struggling to chew? Looking for a fast painless way to fix it? Before the development of Implants, a denture or partial was the only alternative to replace missing teeth.
Replace Missing Teeth with Dental Implants
Not anymore! We offer Dental Implants. Implants are titanium structures that are placed in an area where the tooth would normally be occupied by the root. Implants are anchored to the bone and act as an artificial tooth. The great thing about Implants is, not only can you replace one tooth, but you can replace several teeth. You can even anchor Implants to your existing denture(s) for stability!
We have a minimal failure rate with dental implants. Reason being, we give ample time for the Implant to adhere to the bone before it is restored.
To restore a dental Implant, a permanent crown or bridge will be placed. This will be 2 or 3 months after the placement of the Implant. An impression will be taken at the restoration visit, and takes approximately 2 to 3 weeks after that until you have your teeth back! It may seem like a long time, but how many years have you gone without teeth? And now you will have them back in less than 3 months.
We provide other dental solutions when placing dental implants, such as dentures (if replacing a full arch of teeth). While dentures are ideal in certain cases, they have the tendency to shift if implants are not placed.
Over time, if you do not have any teeth, the ridges begin to shrink. In turn, this can cause dentures to become loose and ill fitting. You can have a few Implants placed in your lower arch, and have them attached to the denture. This would be an Ideal way to ensure better function of your denture.
Partials can also be ideal in certain cases. But partials, just like new shoes, can take time to get used to with a few sore spots here and there, and a few trips back to the office for adjustments. Patients usually prefer implants over partials to avoid taking up space in their mouth. Partials can also trap food underneath, while implants will not. So it really depends on the patient’s preference, but most prefer the benefits of the Implants over the benefits of a partial.
We give every patient the opportunity to decide what is best for them which is why we offer free consultations! So come in today and learn how you can get the smile you deserve!
