Dr. Dana Kogan grew up in Columbia, MD. As a child, Dr. Dana had two passions: classical piano and gymnastics.  She played piano for more than 10 years and was a competitive gymnast from elementary through high school.  Dr. Dana graduated with a degree in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland with honors.  While attending the University of Maryland, Dr. Dana received the prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship to study memory and learning in a neuroscience lab.  During her time in the lab, she wrote and defended a thesis, and her research was published in the journal of Neuroscience.  Dr. Dana received her dental degree from the University of Maryland, where she was a member of several honor societies.

After dental school, she moved to Philadelphia to complete a residency program at Albert Einstein Medical Center.  In addition to comprehensive dental care, Dr. Dana’s time at Einstein gave her experience with a Level 1 trauma emergency room, including managing facial trauma, swelling, and lacerations, as well as treating medically complex patients for dental clearance prior to medical surgeries.

After working in several offices in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Dr. Dana found her home at DHCA.  For the past several years, she has been mentored by Dr. Lance and Dr. Jordan.  She has also been privileged to participate in one of her favorite activities: Dentistry from the Heart.  Dr. Dana is committed to keeping up to date with the latest technology and procedures and is continually taking courses and seminars to provide her patients with the best possible care.  Some of the courses include an 88 hour implant seminar, laser certification and Invisalign training.
