Painless Dentistry

Dental Health Care Associates strives to make every visit as pain free and comfortable as possible. To start we offer televisions in the rooms, massage chairs, and music in the background.

Sedation Dentistry

We offer sedation dentistry that allows you to go to sleep and have all your work completed- when you awaken we are done and you have the smile you wanted without the worries.

Low Vibration Hand Pieces

Our hand pieces are electric which reduces the amount of vibration to the teeth that can sometimes lead to discomfort. They also reduce the amount of time it takes for us to prepare your tooth for your restoration.

We use our laser for surgeries while most offices may use a scalpel. Using the laser when possible reduces healing time and often does not require stitches.

Painless Injections

We apply a topical before giving any injections. In addition, throughout our 52 combined years of practicing dentistry, we have learned several tricks and methods to help reduce the discomfort of an injection.

We also have patience and understand that some people may take longer to numb than others.

Most often when a person says they have had a past negative experience at a dentist office it is because they were not numb enough. Thanks to evolving techniques, injections and devices, this no longer has to bring a frown to your face.

We also have a gel that can be placed under and around your gums called Oraquix. This gel can be used during your cleaning, and can help with any unwanted sensitivity or gum discomfort.

Our hygiene department also uses a machine called a cavitron, which helps reduce any tissue trauma that using hand instruments can cause. The cavitron uses high-pressure water to flush the gum areas, and to remove hard deposits (called calculus) from the teeth.

For early cavities, we may suggest micro-abrasion, which uses a high-pressure baking soda compound that will blast the decay (cavity) from the tooth’s surface. This can be done without anesthesia and no drilling is necessary. This procedure is done on most small cavities or early stage cavities.

Action speaks louder than words but not nearly as often.
